What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

My motivation to qualify for the International GS Trophy was mainly the location. I feel attracted by Mongolia, maybe because it's the home country of my ancestors (by nationality I'm Hungarian). I'm happy that – thanks to BMW – I have the opportunity to visit that country together with like-minded people and to ride our motorcycles there. I am looking forward to the adventure.

Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?

I ride a F 800 GS, which now has more than 190,000 happy kilometres on it. My most exciting trip with it was a two-week adventure together with my brother, where we travelled along the Trans Labrador highway and visited the North Eastern part of the United States.

Furthermore during I lived in Romania / Europe, I owned a F 650 GS, and I loved to explore the Romanian outback and its beautiful mountains.

What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

The most exciting fact about the GS Trophy 2018 is to meet new people, to make new friends who will be there because of their love and passion for riding BMW adventure bikes. The most beautiful gift a person can give to you is sharing a part of his or her time with you, nothing else compares to this.

What does the Spirit of GS mean to you?

The Spirit of GS is something special but it is quite difficult to be defined. I think it means something well beyond camaraderie and true friendship. Probably for some of us this is a way of life.

How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I'm actually preparing every day for this event, I am an all year round rider and it is quite interesting to commute on a motorcycle when there's winter in Canada. I also like to go mountain biking, swimming, running and playing football (or soccer how it is called in Canada).
