What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I would like to join the festival for GS riders in the whole world. I believe that the participation itself will be a turning point in my life.

Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?

I have been riding a R 1200 GS for a year, and this way, was able to discover beautiful scenery during the GS moto-camping. Actually, I was surprised by the performance at GS. Whether a highway or forest road, the event takes place everywhere and regardless of the actual weather conditions.

What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

Riding my bike at the GS event is comparable to participating in a triathlon. As the following skills are equally required: riding skills, physical strength and cooperative spirit. So it seems to be full of masculine beauty.

What does the Spirit of GS mean to you?

My slogan is "Life like GS". I want to live my life solving any problem like GS does, where every road can be passed without any problem. I believe this is the spirit of GS.

How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I'm preparing the next year's GS festival together with my colleagues - Korean teamwork. This means more or less: fitness training similar to a place as the Mongolian desert.

What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I love the GS festival so much. I cannot help but taking part in this event which is known to be very challenging, riding and enjoying my GS bike.

I have once challenged myself by participating in the previous qualifying event for the Int. GS Trophy 2016, but failed regretfully ranking only 7th. However, I have had intensively prepared myself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018 for the last two years, and got ranked 2nd in this qualifying event. I am very surprised and happy that I can join the GS Trophy 2018 at last.

Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?

I have rode my R 1200 GS Adventure for 25,000km so far. What's good at participating in GS is that I can enjoy my time with good friends and surely will meet new ones. I love seeing myself progressing when trying to achieve my goals at GS. It is always enjoyable and challenging being part of the GS festival and its camping tour.

What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

The ones riding a GS may love travelling and I am for sure one of them. Riding GS with bikers from different countries is absolutely great. Mongolia, representing Mother Nature best, makes this experience even greater to me. I am having a good time and especially looking forward to all the new friends I am gonna make at the Int. GS Trophy 2018.

What does the Spirit of GS mean to you?

Collaboration and team harmony. That's what I always talk about to my friends when we bike together. Going together makes us stand out than participating separately.

How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

GS Trophy is a team game. As a team member, I will try my best not to be an obstacle to us winning. I have got one year left and will try my best as I did for the qualifying event. We, 3 finalists, will have exercises with the participants of the GS Trophy 2014 and 2016, and the goal is to finish the GS Trophy 2018 in the upper ranks. Team Korea Fighting!

What was your motivation, applying for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I want to enjoy the adventure, challenge and competition with friends from all over the world. Especially, I want to travel in the meadow and desert of Mongolia and take a picture beneath the milky way and the starry sky.

Which bike do you ride and what is the most exciting or surprising story you have experienced with it?

R 1200 GS Adventure. In 2013, I have travelled Japan all the way to Kyushu by bike together with my daughter. My teenage daugther and I, we were able to enjoy a week full of beautiful and exotic scenery throughout Kyushu. All of these journeys have started with a R 1200 GS Adventure.

What is the most appealing thing for you about the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

Imagine it for a second: GS riders run through the endless plains and deserts of Mongolia. This imagination of mine only makes my heart beat faster for GS. I want to challenge real adventures and missions with riders from all around the world.

What does the Spirit of GS mean to you?

The Sprit of GS resembles my attitude towards life. There are rough passages at the end of a well packed road, and if there is an uphill, there must be a downhill somewhere. Comfort and hardship co-exist in our lives and I enjoy the adventures and challenges that lie between them.

How do you prepare yourself for the Int. GS Trophy 2018?

I run more than 10 kilometers a day and practice motorcycle skills every second day. On weekends, I ride a rough road in search of mountains and rivers. And above all, I am preparing my mind to have fun for 10 days.
