  • The BMW Motorrad Days are one of the biggest motorcycle events in Europe offering test rides, exciting stunt shows, live music, parties and the very latest models and offers by BMW Motorrad. The event takes place annually in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and attracts more than 40,000 visitors from over 40 nations.  

  • In the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the Hausbergbahn cable car parking site. 

    The exact address is: Am Hausberg, 82367 Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

  • You don’t need any tickets, admission is free.
    For some activities such as test ride or riding in Enduro Park, a "Rider's Pass" needs to be purchased on-site. The pass authorizes for participation after registration.

  • For some of the active riding activities you need a “Rider’s Pass” permitting you to take part after registering. The “Rider’s Pass” is available on site, e.g. at the info counters.
    Please note that you need a valid motorcycle licence (international motorcycle licence for non-EU citizens), identity card or passport and a full set of protective motorcycle clothing.
    The required motorcycle clothing includes: motorcycle helmet with ECE 22 mark of conformity, motorcycle gloves (full finger coverage), motorcycle boots / shoes (no sneakers), motorcycle wear (jacket & trousers) with protectors (min. for back and knees). Unfortunately taking part without the complete set of safety gear is not possible.

  • Yes, you can test current BMW Motorrad models at our guided test rides. Please register on site. You must obtain a “Rider’s Pass”  beforehand. This is available at the info counters for example.
    Please note that you need a valid motorcycle licence (international motorcycle licence for non-EU citizens), identity card or passport and a full set of protective motorcycle clothing.

  • Enclosed camping areas are available. You need to bring along tent, sleeping mat and sleeping bag. The tents are not guarded. Please do not leave valuables, cash, credit cards etc. in the tents unattended, since no liability can be accepted. Erecting the tents is at the user’s own risk. 
    Please note: no RV/motorhome parking is available on and around the event grounds. Please take your RVs/motorhomes to the campsites “Am Wank” or in Grainau (fee required, with electricity and water connection).

  • A wide range of food and drink is available (vegetarian, vegan, Bavarian and international) from early morning to late at night.

  • Children are greatly welcomed at the BMW Motorrad Days! A special Kids’ Track as well as child care (bouncy castle, children’s makeup etc.) are available.  

  • The BMW Motorrad Days experience already begins on your way there. No matter which side you approach the event from, you will be travelling on winding country roads amid the magnificent mountain region of the “Werdenfelser Land”. The landscape around Garmisch-Partenkirchen is so scenic that you will want to take your bike on a spin in the course of the weekend. We’ve put together the best routes for you here.


    You can also reach the BMW Motorrad Days using public transportation. You can reach the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station by rail (Deutsche Bahn - Germany Railways), the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn train stops directly at the event grounds (“Hausberg” train station).

  • Motorcycle parking spaces are located directly next to the camping sites for all campers. In addition further parking is available at the Alpspitzstrasse road and at the ice stadium (Eisstadion). Unfortunately there is no designated car parking, please use the public parking available in the town.

  • Free bus shuttles are available in the evening to take you from your hotel in the surroundings to the BMW Motorrad Days and back again. Information about the bus timetable and routes is available from the info counters and bus schedules at the bus loop on the event grounds.


  • The following are not permitted on the event grounds: Segways, drones, weapons, drugs, flammable liquids and other dangerous substances, fireworks etc. In high-density areas or other areas designated by the event organiser, no bottles, cups, tankards, cans or other objects made of glass or other breakable, splintering or especially hard material are allowed. Please note the campsite regulations posted on site.  

  • We would ask you to show consideration for all those around you at any time, especially at night. Loudspeaker and sound systems are not permitted.  Please note the campsite regulations posted on site.  

  • Using small and technically flawless charcoal barbecues with a stand or gas cookers is permitted as long as they don’t represent a fire hazard or bother others with smoke and smells too much. Please note the campsite regulations posted on site.

  • We would like to point out that photographers and film crews commissioned by us will be on the event grounds.
    By entering the event groups you irrevocably consent to the unpaid utilisation of your image and your voice for photographs, live transmissions, broadcasts and/or recordings of your image/your voice. These are made by the event organiser or their authorised parties in connection with the event and you consent to their being used in all present and future media (especially in the form of sound and image media as well as digital distribution, e.g. via the internet).

  • Dogs are only allowed in free areas and must always be on a leash. Fighting dog breeds according to the Bavarian fighting dog regulations are generally prohibited. Exceptions apply to guide dogs for the blind or assistance dogs.  

  • You can buy the official “BMW Motorrad Days” fan T-shirts, hoodies and caps to take home as souvenirs in the fan shop.  

  • Handicapped parking spaces and handicapped WCs are available on the event grounds. As a general principle most tents and event areas are accessible barrier-free.
